SAUGUS, MA – Saugus Police believe a 62-year-old man operating an SUV lost control of his vehicle, leading him to hit a sedan, leading both automobiles to crash into a former Boston Market. This collision occurred before 7:30 p.m. Monday on Route 1. The sedan that was struck was unoccupied. Officials said multiple people were initially trapped. However, no methods of extrication seemed to have been conducted. First responders took the 62-year-old man to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
