Narrative
PLYMOUTH, MA – A 26-year-old man died, and a woman was hurt Friday in a wrong-way crash along the highway in Plymouth.
The accident happened shortly before midnight on Route 3 near mile marker 9. This is north of Forges Field and southwest of Plymouth Country Club.
Police say the victim was headed northbound when his vehicle entered the southbound side of Route 3 and collided with a southbound vehicle.
The wrong-way driver, identified as Adam Plaice of Brewster, died after transport to an area hospital.
Medics transported the other driver to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
Officials closed the southbound side of Route 3 for over three hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
