Narrative
LINCOLN, MA – A head-on collision along a highway in Middlesex County killed one driver, and injured two other adults on Thursday.
The incident happened in the morning along Route 117 at Sweet Bay Lane near Lincoln, which is about 22 miles northwest of Boston.
Police say that the driver of a Jeep Wrangler was driving the wrong direction on the highway and crashed head-on into a Chevy Silverado.
The driver of the Jeep died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities haven’t yet released her identity to the public.
Medics transported the other driver and a passenger from the Jeep to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
