Narrative
READING, MA – A 15-year-old went to the hospital Tuesday after a vehicle struck them along a major roadway in Reading.
The incident happened shortly before 3:30 p.m. along Lowell Street, which runs northwest to southeast through the western side of the city.
The circumstances of the accident remain under investigation. So far, police have determined that a 25-year-old man with a suspended license for a prior OUI charge struck the teen somewhere along Lowell Street. It’s unclear if the victim was walking in a designated crosswalk at the time of the accident.
Medics transported the teen to a local hospital with significant but non-critical injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Liam Robinson, faces charges of driving with a suspended license.
The investigation is ongoing.
