Narrative
SEEKONK, MA – A 36-year-old man died, and another man went to the hospital after a three-vehicle collision along the highway in west-central Bristol County.
The crash occurred around 1:20 p.m. on the westbound side of I-195 in Seekonk. This is about 7 miles southwest of Rehoboth.
Police haven’t yet disclosed the cause of the collision. They say the crash involved a box truck, which caught fire, a 2022 Toyota Highlander, and an 18-wheeler.
The driver of the Highlander died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public.
The driver of the box truck sustained minor injuries.
Officials closed the westbound side of I-195 while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
