ROCKPORT, MA – A Rockport police officer was hospitalized Sunday night after a cruiser collided with an MBTA Commuter Rail Train.
Investigators say the train and cruiser collided at a low rate of speed at the Poole’s Lane rail crossing around 8 p.m.
The unidentified officer was taken to an area hospital with unspecified injuries. None of the 10 passengers on the train were reportedly injured in the crash.
The cause of the crash is unclear at this time.
