CONCORD, MA – A driver had to be rescued from their vehicle after it crashed off Lowell Road and in into Concord’s Assabet River. The incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on Monday. An off-duty police officer and a bystander tried to assist the driver before officials arrived and removed the door from the vehicle
the driver was airlifted to a Boston hospital after they were pulled up the 20-foot embankment. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and no one else was in the vehicle when the crash occurred. Investigators are working to establish an official cause of the crash at this time.
