HOPKINTON, MA – A wrong-way crash on I-495 in Hopkinton claimed a person’s life Wednesday, NBC Boston reported.
The collision happened before 12:30 am. A Ford Van driver, who was charged with a DUI, collided head-on with another vehicle. Then the Ford Van overturned.
One car nearby attempted to stop but ended up hitting the car the DUI driver hit.
The Ford Van driver was identified as 29-year-old Devin Arroyo from Taunton.
The driver initially hit by Arroyo was transported to UMass-Worcester Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries and died. Police identified him as 72-year-old Samuel B. Ibikunle.
Taunton sustained minor injuries and was booked at the Millbury barracks.
