CHICOPEE, MA – A 21-year-old man died as a result of a single-motorcycle crash on the I-391 on-ramp in Chicopee Friday evening, according to information from the Boston Globe.
The crash happened on I-391 S near the Exit 3 on-ramp at around 7:25 p.m., when the rider of a 2017 Yamaha FZ100 motorcycle reportedly lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve on the ramp.
The vehicle then went off the side of the ramp and into a wooded embankment.
The motorcyclist, identified as 21-year-old Chicopee resident Anthony Maynard, was taken to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision, which remains under investigation.
